From January 1 to April 20, 2025, Disciples across the United States and Canada will unite in a powerful season of prayer for the annual Disciples International Prayer Vigil.

This initiative spans New Year’s Day through Easter Sunday, providing an opportunity for congregations to lift up their voices in prayer for personal needs, their church and community, the nation, land the world., Oklahoma’s Day to Pray! The 8th Of Each Month The Oklahoma Disciples tamily is invited to take part in this vigil by dedicating the 8th day of each month-January 8, February 8, March 8, and April 8—as a day of focused prayer. By doing so, we join hands with fellow Disciples across North America, embodying our shared faith and commitment to prayerful action. ommission

We warmly welcome everyone to join us at Western Oaks for this special Advent service!

Sunday, December 22, 2024, marks the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Our in-person worship services will commence at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Notably, the 11:00 a.m. service will also be livestreamed for those who prefer online attendance.

Rev. Randy Hill, our Interim Senior Minister, will deliver a sermon titled “Unfailing Love,” drawing inspiration from Psalm 130: 5-8. Additionally, church school will commence at 10:00 a.m.

During the 11:00 a.m. service, Rosa McCroskey will lead the Bells of Praise in a Musical Call to Worship titled “He Is Born, the Holy Child,” arranged by Jason W. Krug. The Chancel Choir will also grace us with their rendition of an Anthem titled “My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord,” composed by Joseph M. Martin and David Angerman.
